Concept Description

Naxos was born as a budget classical music label, offering affordable recordings without compromising on quality. The name “Naxos” refers to the Greek island. “To make classical music and related cultural content universally accessible, affordable, and comprehensive, while supporting education, research, and discovery.” My rebrand of Naxos strives to bridge the world of classical music through stories and the celebration of creativity. As the world's largest archive of classical music, it serves as a platform of inspiration and excellence for students, musicians, and casual enjoyers alike.

Custom Typeface

The custom typeface was built on top of the original N of the logo, shaped by a balance of rigidity and fluidity. The blocky aesthetic is also reminiscent of piano keys and the dynamic nature of classical music.
